Hello PERLIS here we come!

SK Kuala Perlis,
Perlis,
West  Malaysia
08.05.2015 (Friday)
Today we had a pleasant opportunity to visit Perlis.  Its  formal name  is Perlis Indera Kayangan. Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia. It lies at the northern part of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia and has the Satun and Songkhla Provinces of Thailand on its northern border. It is bordered by the state of Kedah to the south.

Visiting Perlis at this time of the year is a good timing as the end of April and the beginning of the month of May indicates the much awaited season of  Mangga Harum Manis. Mangga Harum Manis  is a species of manggo which has a sweet smell and wonderful taste. The land of Perlis is truly blessed as this manggo can only grow here despite of all the attempts done in many states in Malaysia.

Our main purpose of  visiting Perlis is to send a complete set of Angklung Pak Radja to SK Kuala Perlis. A lovely primary school which is situated at heart of the town. We had a wonderful time throughout our Angklung Demo as the teachers and pupils are both very vibrant and energetic. Bringing angklung to this school is much easier as this school has its own angklung group which is under the direction of two very capable music teachers; Cikgu Azahar (Penolong Kanan KoKurikulum) and Cikgu Mahadzir.
